Dear OttO aficionados,

We hope that you've enjoyed the Christmas holidays (the New Year too) and that you got what you wanted under the Christmas tree! On our end, we have taken the decision to discontinue our OttOmobile collection. As my grandmother used to tell me, all good things must come to an end. We've exhausted our choice of "Youngtimers", and to be honest, we don't particularly fancy heading into diesel territory. Consequently we'll be concentrating on our secondary passion, the world of miniature steam trains...

So, without further ado, what follows will be the last of the OttOmodels to grace your collection... To start off, a few older models that have been highly sought after, such as the Volkswagen Caddy in black (surfboard included), a yellow Fiat Coupe Turbo, and the unique Renault 5 Gordini Turbo. Models of this calibre are hard to come by, so don't delay in getting yours! We'll also be introducing a Mercedes-Benz W123 designed by AMG in a stunning blue livery, mounted on golden BBS rims. In April we'll be introducing a number of new models, of which two Japanese cars: the Toyota Celica Twin Cam, the unrivalled queen of African safaris, as well as the Honda Integra Type R. I must admit this next model is a personal favourite. It isn't necessarily one of the most impressive racing cars, but it certainly has its place within our collection: the Renault 4L JP4. I hope you like it.

Alright, fine, I admit it, I'm having you on for the whole "end of the OttOmobile collection". Of course we're not stopping now! We've still got hundreds of models in development, and hope that we will be able to surprise you for a long time to come! Today is the opening day for the Nuremberg Toy Fair, our annual pilgrimage where we take the opportunity to present some models for the months to come. We've decided this year not to show you everything, as otherwise some people might get jealous, and more importantly we'd like to keep a few surprises in store for you. Here are a few photos from the show.

Haha, ik ook. Ik verwacht dat ze nu dus iets andere keuzes in modellen maken en dat er wellicht prijzen veranderen en er uitschieters naar boven bij komen voor vrachtwagens etc.

Haha, ja ik schrok ook even van de eerste twee alinea's. Maar gelukkig niet zeg.
De Ford Focus in het wit trekt me wel, ook de Fiat Coupé moet ik in mijn verzameling hebben maar nu weet ik niet of ik liever de gele wil of de blauwe. Of wellicht dat een rode nog in het verschiet zit bij Otto... Tevens de Volvo 480 moet ik hebben als deze uitkomt.

Nog een kleur, die kans acht ik zeer klein. Tot nog toe is dat maar alleen bij heel populaire modellen geweest.
Mocht je de blauwe willen, dat kan want ik wil graag de gele. De blauwe heb ik nieuw in doos nog staan.

Ik droom nu al van een trailer vol met Delta Integrale's...

Blijkbaar is er een toenemende interesse voor nutsvoertuigen, ook LaudoRacing en Schuco hebben bestelwagens en/of aanhangwagens gepland.

Op youngtimer-vlak hoop ik nog altijd dat OttoMobile de E30-mal benut voor een mooie 318is in Sterling Silber of een mooie 320is...

Teleurstellend dat, ondanks de nog steeds originele keuzes van Otto, mijn geliefde 100HP nog steeds schittert door afwezigheid.

Qua Fiat is er weining nieuws buiten een heruitgave van de Coupé in de (in mijn ogen leukere) gele tint.
