Nou dat ziet er waanzinnig uit, dat gaan mooie modelauto's worden.

Maar volgens Schum hangt er aan zo'n vakje een prijskaartje van tussen de € 2500,- en € 5000,- . beetje duur.

Met de Dome als Modelauto van het Jaar kunnen we toch wel korting bedingen ?

Ik weet dat vorig jaar het JosVerstappen.nl vanuit het forum op de Dome stond.

Maar een blokje op de auto kost ? 2.500,- (dus als elk lid nou 20 euro bijdraagt dan redden we het )

Eigenlijk had ik al zo'n flauw vermoeden, omdat de prijs hetzelfde is als vorig jaar. En de blokken groter zijn, maar Lammerscompany heeft de site voor sponsoring dus nog niet aangepast en daardoor zal de prijs dan wel liggen in de buurt van mij eerdere schatting vanaf ? 5.000.

Maar je blijft er veel voor krijgen.

RFH makes it official...Dyson to co-pilot with Jan Lammers....

Former Le Mans 24-Hour race winner Jan Lammers today announced that Chris Dyson, the 2003 American Le Mans Series LMP675 champion, will join Lammers' Racing For Holland team at the June 12-13 running of the sportscar endurance classic. Dyson recently completed a two-day test of the team's Dome S101-Judd at Le Circuit Paul Ricard in southern France.

"I want to take the strongest possible team to Le Mans this year," said Lammers, whose victory at the Sarthe came in 1988. "The results of our test earlier this month convinced me that Chris would make an excellent addition to the Racing For Holland HoHteam. And I'm pleased to have him join me in our lead car."

"Chris was quite quick in the car at Paul Ricard, and he gave our engineers useful feedback," Lammers noted in explaining his decision to add the young American to his team. "In addition to being fast, Chris was consistent. And he was like that with new and old tires and on light and heavy fuel loads. Over the whole two days, he never made a mistake. I was quite impressed."

Lammers had an advance look at Dyson when the two shared a Dyson Racing entry at last month's Sebring 12-hour race. Engine failure knocked the team's Thetford / Norcold Lola out of the race, but not before Lammers had the chance to watch Dyson closely behind the wheel of the car.

"It's a pity that we had a mechanical problem there, because we were for sure headed for a podium finish otherwise," Lammers said. "But I saw that Chris did a great job while the car was running. That's what first gave me the idea to have him join me at Le Mans."

"I'm honored that Jan would want me to join his team for Le Mans," said Dyson, who at the age of 26 is in his third year of professional racing following an adolescent karting career and three years of amateur sportscar competition. "I think that every sportscar racer dreams of driving at Le Mans. I know I have since I was a kid. It's great to have the opportunity to go there with a team that has the capability to win the race. I'm really looking forward to this. I hadn't necessarily expected to have the chance to race at Le Mans so early in my career, but I've always believed that when you have a good opportunity, you ought to make the most of it."

Lammers, 47, is the reigning FIA Sportscar Champion, both as a driver and as principal of the Racing For Holland team. In addition to his 1988 Le Mans victory for Jaguar, Lammers twice won the Daytona 24-hour race for Jaguar, triumphing in 1990 as well as 1988. His career includes stints in Formula One, Indy cars and touring cars as well as mastery of sportscars

Lister replaces Coronel with Danish drivers?!

Yesterday the Danish media have reported that the Danish Team Essex Invest will join forces with Lister. Earlier this month the Danish team heard that their Porsche was not selected. According to the ACO race regulations, the Le Mans organisers are authorised to reject teams without further explanation, and therefore Nielsen and Team Essex Invest have no idea why they were disqualified from the race.

John Nielsen was to have formed a team with fellow Danish drivers Casper Elgaard and Jens Møller. 'It's really a blow to Danish motor sport, because it was the first time a 100 percent Danish team was signed up for Le Mans John said in the Copenhage Post.

It now looks that Team Essex will invest in Lister and also supplies the drivers meaning that Tom Coronel is out of a drive.

18:03 Update: Lister just responded with an official press release which confirmed the above news

Lister Racing have joined forces with the Danish Team Essex Invest for the 24 Hours of Le Mans and the first round of the LMES series at Monza on 9th May - Lister will provide the Lister Storm LMP900 and technical staff, Team Essex Invest the drivers.

So, three Danish drivers in the Lister - John Nielsen, Casper Elgaard and Jens Moller. John needs no introduction having won Le Mans, Daytona, the BPR GT Championship and the All Japan GT Championship.

Balen voor Coronel. Ik hoop dat 'ie nog een plekje kan bemachtigen bij een goed team. Nog een jaartje Lammers misschien?

En wat betreft die Denen... ik hoop voor ze dat de Lister net zo succesvol is als vorig jaar
