Nieuwsbrief 2013!

Dear Collector, Dear Member of the Ottomobile Club,

First of all, let us wish you a Happy New Year 2013! Please receive our best wishes for a healthy and wonderful year for you and your family.

Let’s skip the world crisis, the wars and all the horrific news that could take over our good spirits day in and day out so we can concentrate on what matters, the model cars replicas and more broadly the Automotive world.

We all expect some changes in the Automotive sector, some manufacturers might disappear, some might get bought out… but one thing will remain the same : Ottomobile. We are here and plan on being here every month as we have been doing for the 4 last years, to the delight of our devoted collectors.

2013 is no plan for a revolution though, but a continuity of our exclusive models at reasonable prices. We’ll go back to the source with more Alpine novelties, a few newer versions of very highly sought after models and a couple of great surprises. Part of this program will be unveil during the Nuremberg Toy Fair (Jan 30th –Feb 4th).

This year, Otto’s website will get a facelift with a newer and easier navigation system. It will include the club, the webstore and Otto news so bear with us in the meantime. We should be ready for the Spring!

A special note for our collectors from Germany, Spain, England, The Netherlands and Belgium : our dispacth will be operated by a new transport compay that will allow for better delivery time frame and better tracking. We apologize for any inconvenience you may have encountered over the past year.

A few rewards now… We are proud to announce the winner of the Golden OTTO 2012 ! According to many forums, among which Forum Auto and the Otto-models fan forum, the lucky winner is the Peugeot 306 Maxi, of the Panizzi brothers. It was followed very closely by the the Espace F1 and the Alpine A110 group 5.

Another reward from the magazine « Auto in Miniatur » that selects some of the finest replicas in the world : The Namac Prize for 1/18th scale Sports car was granted to the Talbot Sunbeam Lotus, 1981 world rally champion. Many thanks go to the production team for these wonderful models…

Unfortunately we have some « sad » news to share with you… With the rules being what they are, we will not be authorised to make any Venturi replicas any longer starting March 2013. The 300 Atlantique will be the last one from OTTO. We hope that we have succeeded in paying homage to this one of a kind automotive adventure.

Last but not least, we would like to share with you our latest addition to the 1/12th scale program in the Renault Gordini R8 in white. Over the last few years of its production, Renault took it upon themselves to change the body color of the classic blue/white stripes car. Michel Hommel was the first to drive a white version during a round of the Gordini Cup. This replica bears 13’ Delta Mics wheels that were highly regarded by the R8 Gordini fans. The 500pcs limited edition will be delivered mid-March 2013. Its cost is 120.00€. You can find more information on our website.

Om te beginnen willen we u een prettig nieuwjaar wensen. We wensen u het beste en een goede gezondeheid als voor uw familie.

We vergeten de wereld crisis, oorlogen en slecht nieuws dat onze goede ingesteldheid dag in dag uit kan ondermijnen zodat we ons kunnen focussen op wat van belang is. Nl op model wagens en in breder opzicht de auto industrie.

We verwachten allemaal veranderingen in de auto werled, sommige fabrikanten verdwijnen, andere worden overgenomen, ... maar 1 ding verandert niet: Ottobile. We zijn hier en blijven hier ook elke maand zoals we dit al doen sinds 4jaar tot grote vreugde van toegewijde verzamelaars.

2013 is geen jaar voor een revolutie, maar voor continuïteit van onze exclusive modellen voor betaalbare prijzen. We gaan terug naar de roots met meer Alphine nieuwigheden, een aantal nieuwere versies van veel gezochte modellen en enkele grote verrassingen. Deel van dit programma zal othult worden op de Nurnberg toy fair (Januari 30/1/13 - februari 4/2/13)

Dit jaar zal de website an Otto een facelift krijgen met een nieuwe en makkelijker navigatie systeem. Dit omvat de Club, Webwinkel en Otto nieuws zo blijf bij ons tot het zo ver is. Dit zou tegen de lente klaar zijn.

Een speciale opmerking aan onze verzamelaars uit Duitsland, Spanje, Engeland, Nederland en Belgie: Onze verzendafdeling wordt nu gedaan via een nieuw transport bedrijf dat ons toelaat een betere levertermijn en betere tracking te geven. Helaas hebben we ook slecht nieuws mede te delen... Met de huidige regelingen hebben we geen toestemming meer om Venturi replica's te maken na maar 2013. De 300 Atlantique zal de laatste Venturi zijn van OTTO. We hopen dat we geslaagd zijn in het hulde brengen van deze 'one of a kind' automerk.

En als laatste, Willen we onze recentste toevoeging in 1/12 schaal voorstellen, de renault Gordini R8 in wit. De laatste paar jaar va productie heeft Renault het op zich genomen om het koetswerk kleur van de klassieke blauw / witte strepen auto te veranderen. Michel Hommel was de eerste om de witte versie te besturen tijdens en ronde van de Gordini Cup. Deze replica heeft 13" Delta Mics wielen die geliefd waren onder R8 Gordini fans. Wat wordt er in de brief bedoeld met: "een aantal nieuwe versies van zeer gewilde modellen".

Bedoelen ze dat ze oude modellen weer gaan restocken of komen er nieuwe kleuren van oude modellen die zeer gewild waren.

Ben benieuwd naar wat de toy fair voor nieuws oplevert!
