Ik begrijp dat dit eigenlijk de Aston Martin AMR-One van vorig jaar is, maar waarom rijdt pescarolo daarmee? En waarom doet Aston Martin dit zelf niet? Ook reid Pescarollo dit jaar niet met eigen wagens volgens mij. Alleen de AM wagen en dan ook nog de Dome.

Ik moet zeggen dat ik dit wel het vreemdst vind van de LM van dit jaar.

Henri Pescarolo will be back at Le Mans in 2012 with two very different LMP1 cars: a Dome S102.5 and a Pescarolo 03.

Henri Pescarolo has revived the ailing Aston Martin AMR-ONE project as the basis of his new LMP1 design. The French team has revealed that it is developing a new Judd engined car based on the AMR-ONE chassis. At the announcement of the 2012 Le Mans 24 Hours entry list Henri Pescarolo was not complementary about the troubled English car explaining that “everything on it was not good, apart from the chassis which was superb.” The Pescarolo 03 will use the AMR-ONE tub as a basis but everything else will be new. Pescarolo has taken delivery of two of the six AMR-ONE tubs built by Prodrive in Banbury.

When the Pescarolo Team’s allocated time for scrutineering for the official Le Mans test day arrived, the two prototypes entered for the 24 Hours of Le Mans were missing. This absence was due to the fact that the two cars were legally seized, a situation which came about following a suit lodged by the driver Julien Jousse.

Ejected from his seat for the British driver Stuart Hall (protégé of Roald Goethe, the owner of the Pescarolo 03), Julien Jousse reacted in a heated fashion this Friday: “My disappointment at not being able to drive this Pescarolo is enormous; I’ve been waiting since the start of the season,” explained the St-Raphael native. What I regret the most is that Henri let me know last when the whole of the team already knew. His stubborn refusal to help me find another seat somewhere encouraged me to take legal action because this is a huge halt to my career which I truly don’t think I deserved. Henri chose this course of action of seizing cars against the two Luxury Ferraris, and I’ve followed in the same manner. He can’t say anything against me.”

This evening, the Pescarolo 03 as well as the Dome S102.5 remained locked up in the Technoparc workshops, a few hundred metres from the paddock. The situation rests in the meantime in the hands of the lawyers who will make a rapid decision.
