Ik zie nog steeds verschil tussen ingelogd en uitgelogd. Wel lijkt de clubkorting verlaagd te zijn idd!

Nous sommes désolés de ne pas vous avoir prévenus plus tôt concernant l'arrêt du club GT Spirit mais nous venons de recevoir notre bilan comptable le 30 septembre et il n'est pas brillant. Nous n'avions pas le choix, soit nous opérions cette modification soit nous arrêtions simplement GT Spirit

We are sorry for the late communication about Club stop. We have received our balance sheet and it's not brilliant. We don't have the choice : we must take this decision otherwise we have to stop totally GT Spirit.

Dear Customer,



As many of you know, GT Spirit is sold primarily through our network of distributors and numerous model websites. We have, consequently, chosen to stop our GT Spirit Club in its current form.

You will still be able to pre-order your models with us, but the advantages that came with the Club were not conducive to maintaining such a sales pattern. Our models are sold half that of a Truescale or a Spark, and even less in comparison to a BBR, but the expectations in terms of quality are the same, making it financially impossible to manage. For our most loyal and long-term customers there will be still some advantages for you, but not on the same level as before. This will, amongst other things, help us reinforce and improve our after-sales service at your disposal.



Our active research of special and high quality models for you will be always continued. We have also decided to make our models more exclusive by limiting production to 500 – 999 units, dependant on the model. There will also be fewer exclusive models for some of our professional clients.

vroeger kosten ze ook goedkoper, ze zijn al een paar keer opgeslagen. maar dat is normaal zeker.
met die prijzen ben ik nog steeds goedkoper af bij mijn leverancier, want de verzendingskosten bij de club (zowel bij GTS als bij OttoMobile) zijn heeeel duur vind ik persoonlijk...

Bij GT-Spirit is de verzending niet echt duur, 9 euro tot vier items.
Lijkt mij prima.... maar Otto daar en tegen....

Ik heb deze e-mail dus nooit gehad trouwens. Wel fijn dat ik nu iets meer weet van de situatie.
Lijkt er op dat er teveel in de warehouses bleef staan, als de prijs omhoog gaat en het aantal modellen naar beneden. Jammer want dat maakte het allemaal wel betaalbaar. Een hobby die helaas zo exponentieel steeds exclusiever blijft worden

Kreeg net een mail van GT Spirit waarin weer wat veranderingen worden aangekondigd:

Next year we will have to update our tariffs according to the contextual changes related to our products and their place of production.
We have done everything we can to delay this moment for as long as possible, but today we have no other option.

Many factors are taken into account, but the main causes are:
• Increased cost of the license agreements (up to 19% on certain dual license models)
• A 30% increase in the price of raw materials (packaging, cardboard and plastic)
• Inflation at 5% per year in China
• Increases in the cost of transport following the bankruptcy of several shipping companies

We have tried to compensate for these rises by increasing our production volume, and also thanks to the rise of the Euro against the US Dollar, but this is not enough and we can no longer maintain our current sales prices for the 1 / 18th GT Spirit range. We will remain the cheapest on the market for this type of product but we now need to align more with the tariffs charged by our main competitors.

This is why we have worked on an alternative in order to return to more acceptable rates. From 2019, some GT Spirit models will be made in Diecast, all opening, and for a price of around 79.90 euro public price. In this way we will return to the basics of the range that we put in place 5 years ago now.

We will provide you with more information shortly.

Heb hem ook gehad! Interessant al wisten we helaas al dat ze duurder zouden worden, maar als het nu eens stabiel afgewerkte modellen zijn dan is het ook wel fijn.

De te introduceren Diecast modellen, dat is wel een nieuwtje en ik kijk er naar uit als ze ook mooie verfijnd worden. Wel benieuwd wat het dan voor modellen worden, aangezien ze tegen goede prijzen gaan en daarom waarschijnlijk in grote aantallen.
