Zoals al te lezen is het door de FIA een week opgeschoven, naar 22 en 23 Juni en de test dag vind 2 weken eerder plaats, op 9 Juni, maakt op zich niet uit, alleen maar meer kans op mooi weer

In 2013, the Le Mans 24 Hours will be 90 years young!
This very important anniversary will be celebrated in the style it deserves during the event on 15-16 June. The test day will be held on Sunday 2nd June 2013.


The first Le Mans 24-Hours race, which was created at the 1922 Salon de l'Automobile in the Grand Palais in Paris by Georges Durand, ACO general secretary and some of the most important members of the club, and Emile Coquille, the French representative of the Rudge-Whitworth detachable wheels company, was held on 26-27 May 1923.

Ninety years later the event will take place on 15-16 June 2013 at the end of the 25th week of the year. This is a milestone anniversary for one of the oldest motor races on the international calendar, and next year it will be celebrated in the style it deserves. It is the sixth time in 90 years that the 24 Hours will take place on 15-16 June.

The test day will again be held two weeks before the race on Sunday 2nd June 2013. Scrutineering and administrative checks will be organised on Sunday 9th and Monday 10th June.

As in 2012, this schedule will allow the teams to set up inside the Le Mans 24-Hours circuit, and they will not have to dismantle their installations before the start of the biggest rendezvous of the year on the international endurance calendar.

Al hoewel het principe van een waterstof/elektrisch aangedreven auto wel goed in de oren klinkt met het oog op de toekomst. Vind ik het design van de auto toch wat minder geslaagd.

Tis tenminste nog een auto Beter dan dat deltading......

Koen Wauters in de 24H van Le Mans? Dat is iets uniek.

Spijtig van ProSpeed dat ze op de reserve staan...

Voor de 90ste editie van de legendarische 24 Uur van Le Mans mogen we ons opnieuw aan een duel Audi-Toyota voor de zege verwachten. Tijdens de de jaarlijkse persconferentie van de ACO in Parijs viel voor de Belgen goed en slecht nieuws te rapen. Marc Goossens rijdt voor SRT Viper op 22 en 23 juni in Le Mans en ook Koen Wauters maakt mogelijk zijn debuut aan de Sarthe. In Parijs viel de naam van Wauters als rijder voor het Thierry Boutsen Ginion team. Het Brusselse team zet een Oreca Nissan in LM P2 in en Wauters' naam werd als eerste rijder opgegeven. Wauters rijdt heel waarschijnlijk met Bert Longin. Het duo rijdt mogelijk enkele races in WEC als voorbereiding of manches van de ELMS. Minder goed nieuws was er voor ProSpeed Competition dat slecht tweede reserve in GTE Am is.
