Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport / Minichamps

Long awaited - finally in my hands.

On the first pictures, the color compo was not the best choice. But, in my hands and under the sun, the Grand Sport looks very nice-

What is okay with this model?
Minichamps realize a few nice details. The suspensions on the wing and front hood are okay. At the front, they are sligthly too dominant.
The viewable engine cover on the back is a eye catcher. Looks more than ok. The painting has no problems.

The rest?
Most of all are standard. Carpet, seats, dashboard and so are present and rather decent. But the center console are toooo poor. In comparison of the AA pendant no surface details or so.

What is bad?
I don't like shiny plastik look. The rims could be from a Playerz Veyron? But on a model in a 150 EUR class???
What's the hell is with the wing? Minichamps, why do you leave the second wing?

Okay, as soon as AUTOart will produce a Grand Sport too - I'll replace the Minichamps model with it.

Overprised it is, but the collor is fantastic and the fact it's the Grand Sport is a positive point!
But indeed those rims, those make the whole car look much cheaper then it is.

Anyways, like to end positive, and that's they make this open Veyron and with the much better looking facelift headlights! As that's one thing I can't stand at the original Veyron

Volkswagen Golf GTi G60 (Typ 1G1) / Otto

Finally - a Volkswagen Golf MK II in 1/18.
I don't know, why no model maker is making this Golf generation? With over 7.5 mio. produced pieces is the Golf II the most popular Golf ever!
And much German model collectors want urgently a good diecast model of this car.
And not only model collectors want this car inscale 1/18!

Agreed, it's weird that no maker has produced a decent model of this popular car before. Otto's effort is gorgeous, though- couldn't resist it myself.

Porsche 911 Turbo (Typ 964) / Welly

Great model from a great car.
Welly did a good job. The painting could be better, but it's ok.
The interior look good. Not so pure like a Porsche from Norev as DE. The engine is not bad!

Not bad indeed, except for the front light and the way they were mounted on the model....
Really ugly seeing that large pin in the headlights
